Olivier Mosset is the author of an ongoing series of sculptures entitled “Toblerones”. Three Star Books has published a miniature, “toy” version, of this series which cross-references Swiss chocolate, Swiss military bunkers, and American abstract minimal sculpture.
Mosset’s “Toblerones” have been produced in varying materials for illustrious museums and public sites. Their most recent manifestation, however, is in the cardboard series of sixteen paper sculptures offered in a perforated and bound version by Three Star Books. To underscore the status of the book as artwork, and the artwork as idea, Mosset has proposed a series of aluminum sculptures painted in shades of gray and meant for outdoor installation. From bookshelf to sculpture park, and back.
